  • 16. Is there any possibility of recovery through forensics or other techniques after pop-up messages are forcibly disappeared or secured messages are shredded?

    Instead of being directly stored in the memory chip, pop-up message is immediately decrypted only in temporary memory and appears on the screen, and is permanently destroyed in the temporary memory after the set time. Therefore, it cannot ever be recovered by any forensic technique.
    On the other hand, if secured message is shredded by the user, it also cannot be recovered by forensic because it is permanently deleted utilizing US DOD (US Department of Defense) standard and ECC encryption technology at the same time.
  • 15. Would I incur extra Telco charges for using Secure IM and VOIP?

    No. Secure IM and VOIP operate over existing mobile broadband service (which is a sunken cost) or Wi-Fi which are not subjected to any additional charges
  • 14. What will happen to my encrypted data at the end of my subscription?

    You can still decrypt your data after the expiry of your license. (Do Not uninstall SY-Talk!).

    However, you will not be able to perform the secure communication functions anymore as they are disabled.
  • 13. What will happen if I accidentally send a message to someone else that is NOT IN my Secure Group?

    You can’t. All your secure contacts are residing in SY-Talk contact list. You will not be able to send a secure message to a non-listed person.
  • 12. Can SY-Talk Service Center or its Partners gain access to my data and communication?

    No. SY-Talk Service operates on a Device Specific Platform. Data encrypted for you by your Sender can only be decrypted (opened) by your device.
  • 11. Can I install my license on multiple devices?

    No. One license is for one device only.
  • 10. What do I get for the licensing fees paid?

    a. Send Secure IM, Images, Files & VOIP securely to your customers and associates who are also subscribing to this same app and service;

    b. Unlimited secure communication to your associates who are also users of this Service & Unlimited uploads and downloads during the licensing period;

    c. App & Data is always encrypted in the phone and secured by Access Code.
  • 9. How do I sign up for the Service and install the Application?

    In our website, you can download the App and install it on your Android phone.

    a. Click on the Icon and key in the necessary info – Username (can be a pseudonym), Email address, Gender, Mobile Phone number & Reseller Code (this code will be delivered to the user by the reseller);

    b. SY-Talk Server will send a One Time Password (OTP) to you (this code will be auto-inserted onto the page);

    c. Tab on ‘Send’ button;

    d. Payment page will appear. Current payment methods include Visa or MasterCard to Reseller (Online bank transfer is in the process of being added);

    e. Once the payment is received, the app will be activated; If payment is by cash to Reseller & Reseller has banked in to, our Server will automatically activate the app and it will be ready for use the next time you login.

    (Note: As part of Good Customer Service, you may request your Reseller to install the above for you.)
  • 8. Do I get any discounts if I make a bulk purchase?

    Corporate purchases in blocks of hundred-user licenses and above may attract discounts. Please speak to the Authorized Reseller about your requirements.

  • 6. What are the other steps I can take to safeguard my confidential data in my smartphone?

    a. Make sure your phone is installed with a reliable internet security app PLUS an anti-malware solution;

    b. DO NOT install untrusted and unnecessary applications onto the phone and DO NOT visit questionable and unknown sites that may have malwares-in-waiting;

    c. Conduct regular scanning for viruses, malware and other infections.
  • 5. How secure is my data residing in SY-Talk Servers?

    SY-Talk is an ultra-secure communication service and DOES NOT keep any copies of data or communication trail within any of its servers once they are pushed out to the Customers’ devices. In the interim when these data are temporary residing in the storage servers,
    they are always saved in an encrypted mode. This is to completely safeguard any potential vulnerabilities or exploitable points on our end. A Customer should, in fact, be wary of providers offering backup services, especially if they are free,
    as this could compromise the data concerned.
  • 4. How secure is my SY-Talk data residing in my smartphone?

    a. SY-Talk App is protected not by Password but by an Access Code which can’t be hacked. A Password resides in a device and is subjected to brute force hacking. An Access Code is a cryptographic hashing process and is stored in a Customer’s brain and when keyed in,
    will activate an algorithm engine that churns out the access key which will then securely open the App. It is impossible to hack an algorithm engine to extract the Access Code because it is non-reversible.

    b. Data-at-Rest residing within SY-Talk is always encrypted to ensure non-stop protection.


  • 3. How is SY-Talk different from other providers of this Service?

    a. Unlike other commercially available solutions such as Kakao, Line, Viber, Telegram, WeChat and Signal, SY-Talk was originally developed for military use which requires the highest level of standards based encryption know-how.

    b. Its unique and second-to-none Public Key Identity (PKID) technology uses a Device Specific Key that bonds itself with a smartphone for data decryption. Even if a top caliber cybercriminal was able to steal this key and place it in another device, it will crash and malfunction.




    c. The complete system, platform and technology are 100% developed in-house and is not diluted with any vulnerable 3rd party add-ons or sub-systems, especially on the powerful key generation architecture.

    SY-Talk has been in use by Government Agencies, Military and Intelligence Services for the past 10 years and its core platform has been certified by ISO/IEC15408 Common Criteria(CC) Certification body which provides the solid affirmation of its top class security capabilities.
